“Real swaraj will come not by the acquisition of authority by a few but by the acquisition of the capacity by all to resist authority when it is abused.” – Mahatma Gandhi
Join us for a week-long transformative course with Vandana Shiva and Prof. Apoorvanand Jha on exploring the relevance of Gandhian principles of Swaraj (self-rule), Swadeshi (self-reliance), and Satyagraha (truth-force), along with Ahimsa (non-violence), and Sarvodaya (welfare for all).
Gandhi promoted a decentralized socio-political system where local communities were empowered to achieve self-reliance and take responsibility for fostering peace and harmony at the grassroots level, inclusive of people, and the planet. It is only without human dominance, and with coexistence that the connection with nature is crucial for allowing each species, and world ecosystem to thrive.
The course will deepen our understanding of how these values are intertwined with our relationship to nature and the Earth. Discover how co-creation and living in harmony within ourselves, with others, and with the biodiverse environment—away from capitalist greed—can shape a more sustainable, and just future for all.
Come and join this course which will take place on a beautiful organic and biodiverse farm situated in the Doon Valley overseeing the foothills of the Himalayas.
Course fee: USD 550/- per participant
(The fee includes a stay, 3 times meals a day, activities, and sessions)
